It should be "shut down", not "shutdown". The latter is a noun, e.g. "the shutdown of the plant resulted in many job losses" vs. "many jobs were lost when the plant was shut down".
Same goes for many many other examples: everyday/every day; workout/work out; setup/set up; and so on.

Something to think about, Nuclear power was deployed to replace oil power plants during the energy crisis of the 70s and 80s which gave birth to wide use of coal and allowed more efficient use of oil. In a sense extending the resource life of the reverses. We see countries following this with large oil-or energy reverses-Canada, UAE, Saudi, etc. which means that a few coutries will grow nuclear and that will allow for continue use of fossil fuels.
I do NOT like it - I LOVE IT. WHAT A GREAT FIND!
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed the visualization. Feel free to check out the rest of sit :)
Anything similar for coal plants? Or MW of nuclear and coal vs time?
The big outlier here is Germany, which has shut down all nuclear plants and replaced them with fossil fuels, including coal.
Absolutely on point with Germany! Mapping against energy production via Fossil fuels vs. green sources could provide an interesting visual :)
